Have fulfilling Conversations. Don't just pass the time of day.

Make eye contact and engage with someone. That connection is invaluable.

See how people interact with you.

Practice listening. What are they saying to you? Don't just wait until they have stopped talking for an opportunity to speak. Anticipating a break in a conversation is frustrating and you are not really concentrating on what the conversation holds.

Take the time to actually hear what they are saying and read between the lines. Can they help you, or you them?
