Goals, and how to manage them.
Christmas is hectic. Your social life may pick up, work intensifies, home is manic. 'To do' lists help. But anxiety can stem from seeing the huge tasks ahead of you.
Identify 3 goals. your top 3 tasks for the day. Bite-size goals can help you be more productive. Visualise the tasks before you begin. Mentally prepare yourself for how to conquer them.
Put all your focus on achieving these goals. make sure that you complete each one as well as possible. Stay focused on the process of completing the job. Eradicate that feeling of doom as the long list of tasks is a distant memory. Emerge from the task refreshed and feeling triumphant that you have managed to do the best you can.
You can always move on to more tasks once you have had a break.
Narrow down that to 'do list' , managing them one by one and tick them off when they are complete. Benefits include stress reduction, and an increase in self pride. Well done.
